2026 isn't over yet, but our outdoor expedition season has officially come to an end! 🏔️❄️
What an absolutely incredible year!
We started in Xinjiang, travelled across Central Asia into Kazakhstan and Georgia, and eventually made our way back to Xinjiang, following landscapes connected by the ancient Silk Road.
Our journey finally came full circle in the Altai Mountains, where the first snowfall marked the end of our 2026 expedition season.
What a ride it has been!
This year, we explored the spectacular red-rock canyons of Xinjiang, crossed alpine meadows, climbed mountain passes around 3,000 metres above sea level, and completed a four-day, three-night trek toward Sayram Lake without resupply.
There were exhausting days of hiking for more than 13 hours, moments when water was nowhere to be found, and unexpected setbacks when we discovered that the herders had already moved on, leaving our anticipated resupply points empty.
There were nights when wolves could be heard howling near our campsite, freezing temperatures that left ice outside our tents, and unforgettable moments beneath the Milky Way, a blood moon, and countless stars.
Then came the mountains and turquoise lakes of Kazakhstan, the breathtaking landscapes of Georgia's Caucasus Mountains, and finally the snow-covered forests of the Altai.
From dry canyons to alpine lakes, from vast grasslands to snowy mountains, from summer sunshine to the first signs of winter.
And what makes me especially proud is that our own PEAK4RATION products were part of this incredible journey.
Real products, carried in real backpacks, across real mountains, through changing weather and demanding outdoor conditions.
As the founder of PEAK4RATION, seeing something we created travel through these extraordinary places is a feeling that's difficult to put into words.
But above all, I want to thank the people who made it possible.

You travelled over mountains and through valleys, and helped bring the original vision behind this brand to life.
Years ago, when I was running my outdoor retail store, my love for the outdoors was already a huge part of my life.
Eventually, I closed the physical store, shifted my focus to building my own brand, and spent years quietly working behind the scenes.
I never imagined that one day we would have not only our own products and our own brand, but also a real outdoor team carrying those products across some of the world's most extraordinary landscapes.
That feeling means more to me than simply counting how many products we've sold.
In 2026, we weren't just building a business. We were building something we genuinely love and believe in.
It's probably a little early for a year-end reflection, but this year has already given us more than enough memories worth celebrating.
